12/3/2023 0 Comments Parsec game kicks me outIn some cases, Parsec will pass the controller as normal but the game won't use it. The host's controller drivers aren't working The gamepad setting is disabled on the host Parsec can't see the controller on the guest Parsec is passing the controller but the game won't use it If people are trying to use the mouse and keyboard, refer to the article about issues with the mouse and keyboard instead. Streaming is a good system don't get me wrong, it have some upsides of not having to run the game so if u have a crappy pc u can receive a image of some hardware running cyberpunk on ultra maxed as long as you pc can decode the video you will play.īut its always better to run the game locally, and normal Netcode have huge advantages over streaming if coded properly lag compensation can improve the game alot. This article covers potential reasons and troubleshooting steps for when someone cannot use their controller to move on a game through Parsec. lag compensation can't exist on a streaming system in the end its just receiving the image from the other computer, don't have prediction you character movment have to wait ping time + how fast the algorythm and system of the streaming service take to process decode/send the video image etc. its still just game streaming and not true online, streaming will always have some unavoided input delay, sure some streaming services are better than others, but its not the same as true online. Trust me Parsec is a thousand times smoother. Steam Remote Play is peer 2 peer but Parsec has dedicated servers. Instead of using Steam Remote Play, use Parsec. Originally posted by Scoobie:Had this same issues when playing with my friends. so just test and try i just hope it uses alot of prediction like terraria and client sided/friendly enemy hit registration, so people would be able to play with 600+ ping and be fine. I have no information on how the netcode in this game is coded and how the lag compensatino is going to be made, cause a good netcode should be able to compensate high pings. i don't know if its really a proper beta, but i call beta anything that is indevelopment even if its not ever going to be you can read more about it in the netstart command here If we assume it's an actual proper beta, that means it will be moved to the main game if enough people use it and report problems. Steam play is not online its just local play as you said. Originally posted by Andy:The game have a true online coop on beta testing must enable on game files both playets need repentance, search on how to enable it and connect This is absurd, if you wanna add coop to the game, do it the right way instead of this weird console hybrid whatever-it-is, or don't even bother to add it in the first place. Me in the other hand, the "1001%" achievement popped up randomly for no reason, thanks game. I play to have fun with a friend, to be able to show him/her the new floors since (may I had) my friend's game and 50% of your fanbase got the "A secret exit" secret bugged, and yes, hush died 3 times after the new version and still nothing pops up, so not much content to enjoy. Why, just why can't this game have a normal coop mode like any other game, why is it so hard to listen to your fans? Just look at the insanely huge list of coop LOCAL babies you made, yet we cant even use them in this type of "coop stream" BS?Īnd to clarify: No, I'm not saying this game NEEDS coop to make it easier, nor that I play for that reason. The stream can randomly end/crash the game! For the love of god give me a good excuse for the second player being forced to exclusively play with a controller. If this is the case and your friend gets inside a big room and you're afk thats it, he/she wont be able to get to the next door if you don't move thanks to the stupid camera limit. Let's say you got killed, so as a ghost you barely have anything to do since the dmg you inflict its non existent, so you go for a walk around the house while your friend gets to the boss and hopefully revives you. When a player gets too far away from the other in big rooms makes the camera go crazy, making aiming harder and that coupled with the lag can kill you real quick, which leads me to the next point: (and before you ask, yeah, my friend and I are far away from each other BUT, as i said, it's not the same as normal coop, we can play any other coop game just fine). Streamming is NOT the same as using a server for coop play, the stream is extremely laggy, and having a two second delay on input in a fast paced game like TBOI is stupid. This is not how you coop, and let me tell you why: Who came up with this brillant idea? Coop with remote play? Really?
